3.5.1 - Cluster IO

Recreate the Block Diagram below

  • NB: The ordering is NOT random - place the controls/indicators in the same order
  • Connect the two clusters on the block diagram
The advantage of using clusters is, that much information from multiple controls can be wired using a single cable - a little bit like connecting hundreds of thin wires in a single large telephone cable. Thus, if you connect the output from Cluster In to the input on Cluster out, you will transfer all the values at once. Do so.
  • Run the VI continuously and check the results
  • Try adding a vertical control slider and a numeric control on the input cluster and then add a numeric indicater followed by a vertical graduated bar on the output cluster - e.g. in reverse order
  • Run your VI and check the results.
  • Save your VI as ClusterIO.vi
